Kirstin C. Appelt, PhD

Kirstin is a behavioral science consultant and co-founder of the centre for Decision Insights for Business and Society (DIBS) at UBC Sauder School of Business.

Kirstin applies leading-edge behavioural insights (often called "nudges") to policy, business, and other decision-making challenges across sectors, including public policy and service delivery, consumer finance, healthcare, & sustainability. She also introduces expert, lay, and student audiences to behavioral insights. Her research explores why consumers struggle with important decisions about their future and how to help them make the best decisions for themselves.
